Overview

LMI is seeking a Remote Senior Application Developer to support the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train (ART). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining applications critical to military training range operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams, product owners, system administrators, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions.

Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain enterprise applications supporting RFMSS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, web services, and integrations with existing military IT systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and business analysts to enhance user experience and system functionality.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and automated testing to maintain code quality and security compliance.
  • Optimize database queries and application performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency.
  • Work with system administrators to support deployment, DevSecOps pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
  • Implement security best practices, including compliance with DoD RMF, STIGs, and vulnerability scanning requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, ensuring minimal system downtime.
  • Document technical specifications, development processes, and system architectures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise application development using .NET (C#), Java, or similar languages.
  • Proficiency in web application frameworks such as ASP.NET, Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in an Agile or SAFe environment and collaborating within an Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel once per quarter for PI Planning.

Preferred:

  • SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe DevOps Practitioner, SAFe Practitioner).
  • Experience with military training systems or DoD applications.
  • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or other cybersecurity certifications.
  • Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience implementing zero-trust architectures and application security frameworks.

Target salary range: $104,040 - $183,600
