Description:

Purpose :

Support the rigorous evaluation of positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracers using in vitro radiopharmacology techniques.

Responsibilities :

Conduct reproducible experiments that evaluate the interaction of radioactive small molecule ligands with their target proteins, including sample preparation, assay setup, and data analysis.

Understand the goal of each experiment and effectively communicate with stakeholders across project stages.

Interpret results and draw conclusions from multistage experiments, note significant deviations, then suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments.

Access and understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner.

Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and appropriate handling of radioactive and biohazardous materials.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree (neuroscience, pharmacology, cell/molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field) or Master's Degree or equivalent education with years of experience.

[Preferred] Theoretical knowledge of ligand-receptor binding interactions and their application to drug discovery.

[Strongly preferred] Practical experience with plate-based filter binding assays or similar plate-based biochemical assays in 96-well plates.

[Required] Willingness and ability to work with radioactive materials including H, 18F, and/or 89Zr. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel, and nonlinear curve fitting using Graphpad Prism or similar.
