Our Test Systems Engineering Team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a talented team of five engineers in developing and integrating cutting-edge electro-mechanical and electrohydraulic test equipment. This equipment plays a critical role in validating flight control systems for military aircraft.

You'll report to the Test Systems Manager and work on-site in Torrance, CA, with flexibility through our hybrid schedule. This is a great opportunity to combine technical leadership with direct engineering contributions in a collaborative, innovative environment.

As an Electrical Engineering Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers focused on developing test equipment for flight control systems.

  • Collaborate with the Test Equipment Site Manager to assign projects and ensure successful execution.

  • Drive process compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct performance reviews, support workforce planning, and assist in hiring.

  • Occasionally travel (5-10%) for international collaboration.

  • Contribute directly to engineering projects (50-75% of your time), applying your expertise in:

    • Analog and digital circuit design

    • Electronic Test Console (ETC) design for ATP/QTP

    • Real-time HIL/SIL test systems

    • Cabling and electromechanical packaging

    • Printed Wiring Board (PWB) design

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering

  • 6+ years of broad electrical engineering experience

  • Strong technical documentation and review skills

  • Prior experience leading or managing engineering teams

It would be a plus if you had:

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering

  • Experience in aerospace or other regulated industries

  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional and global collaboration

  • Familiarity with tools and standards like:

    • DOORS

    • Cadence, OrCAD

    • PSPICE or LTSPICE

    • Teamcenter PLM

    • IPC-620, IPC-630, J-STD-001, NFPA-79
