Job Title: Human Resources - Payroll Associate
Location: Hybrid 4x a week at Bannockburn, IL, (Mon-Thu)
Duration: 6 Months
Purpose and Key Job Activities
- Performs all analytical and administrative duties necessary for preparing, processing and auditing payrolls. Processes multi-state payrolls for several locations that include a variety of pay rules including some Collectively Bargained Units.
The Responsibilities
- Completes data entry and loading data into ADP Ev6 Enterprise payroll system (direct deposit, deductions, additional pay, etc.)
- Performing audits using the reporting tools available and in accordance with guidelines set forth by the department.
- Loads interfaces between eTIME and ADP Ev6 Enterprise and communicate potential timekeeping issues to managers
- Calculations (hourly vacation time owed to terminated team members, FLSA OT premiums, retroactive pay, final pay, etc.)
- Enters and audits payroll adjustments, manual checks, and garnishment refunds in ADP as well as maintaining logs and spreadsheets to reconcile data and audit entries
- Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action as necessary
- Works with local managers to resolve payroll issues.
Those include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and saving/distributing payroll reports
- Responding to inquiries related to pay
- Ensures payroll accuracy by maintaining a practical knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures and pay rules
- Brings questions/concerns to the attention of manager for clarification/resolution. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
- Sorts and scans departmental mail
- Performs other related duties as required or requested
- Experienced with handling a high number of employees payroll, ideally 5,000+
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- 3+ Years of Experience
Licenses and Required Competencies
- Microsoft Office Excel experience
