SUMMARY: This position's main goal is to assist and solve customer needs. This will be done through product research and verifying the correct information is communicated to the customer.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Research automotive parts information using electronic media, manufacturers websites and catalogs
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience via email and phone
  • Follow-up with customers on same day via email or call
  • Evaluate and convey part quality concerns to appropriate department or leaders
  • Resolve customer complaints/escalate customer issues to Product Specialist or management as required
  • Work closely with our Sales Teams, Buyers and Product Line Specialists to support customer needs
  • Add products into Item Master
  • Know the Line Card and top vendors to use for products being requests from customer
  • Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (customer service, procurement, or other appropriate position & automotive parts)
  • Must have strong attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires ability to communicate in verbal, written, and electronic formats, as well as the ability to understand directions and requests via phone or in person
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Must be willing to travel to customer and supplier locations, when needed.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  • Associate degree in relevant field from an accredit college institution
  • Experience using supplier databases to research and look up products
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • 3+ years of experience in Vendor Category Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
