WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Nationwide Fab., is a leading manufacturer of custom commercial stainless steel food service equipment. Our products are found in independent and chain restaurants, stadiums, hospitals, universities, corporate centers, and other commercial locations.
We seek an experienced Electrician to assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems in Nationwide fabricated equipment. The Electrician will be able to read electrical system design plans, recommend improvements, and identify potential problems in design. The candidate will be required to ensure that all work complies with the current National Electrical Codes and any specified local codes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conduit Bending (EMT) and be familiar with the NEC Code Book
- Insuring Conduit Fill to code
- Insuring Box Fill to code
- Install lighting fixtures and wire
- Applying Temperature Derating Factors as required
- Sizing breakers, wire, conduit, etc., or appropriate loads being served
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Inspecting circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Assembling, evaluating, and testing electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
- Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
- Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
- Performs effectively as a team member, is able to work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
- Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
- Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.
- Understands the department's key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to achieving these goals both individually and as a team.
- Other duties as needed or required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages schedules and deadlines
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible, and be open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
- Some travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Hold a current Electrical license and have extensive experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current experience in Commercial kitchen equipment.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Normal shop hours are 6:30 am until 3:00 pm
- Work Location: In person
