Ability to Obtain
Regular DUTIES:
Responsible to the Support Division Chief with oversight on all matters pertaining to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements for Role Play and RSOI&R and oversight of contract support shops and grounds maintenance. Safety: ensure branch compliance with all directed OSHA, DoD, Fort Johnson, and Valiant safety policies, procedures, and mandates; ensures management leadership and employee involvement in safety and health policies; conducts work site analysis and inspections; conduct incident investigations; conduct injury and illness trend analysis; provides training and guidance on hazard prevention and control; implement and direct Root Cause Analysis to identify failures in need of improvement; assists branch leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive and usable Emergency Action Plan; ensures compliance with all elements of Hazard Communication Standards; oversees the branch fire prevention program; develops and implements an effective Safety Award program; provides guidance and recommendations for overall safety culture; all other duties as required. Contract Support Shops: provide supervision of shop personnel; provide oversight of contract support shops ensuring work orders and service requests are completed on time or ahead of schedule; ensure all work is coordinated according to MSC requirements. Ground Maintenance: provide supervision of ground maintenance personnel; provide oversight of ground maintenance operations with scheduled services, and MSC support.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required Experience: High School Diploma; excellent written and oral communications skills; functional abilities with computers including use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; and certified in First Responder; able to be OSHA 30 certified in 90 days. Desired Experience: Associate degree/Military education-equivalent preferred; OSHA 30 certified two years; experience serving in any safety and/or reliability position; experience in field or workplace safety operations; prior experience in a leadership position on the MSC or Operations Group. Additional Requirements: Must be in good physical condition capable of cross country movement over varied terrain for a distance of 2km in order to conduct work site analysis and inspections; be capable of prolonged standing and walking; must be able to work all shifts; must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries; must be able to obtain a NACI clearance and CAC; must be willing to travel to attend and graduate frequent scheduled safety courses and seminars; individual must submit to and pass initial drug screening and will be subject to random drug screening; must possess a valid State Driver's License. |
