MISSION STATEMENT

JOB SUMMARY The Materials Manager will lead the Supply Chain within Cresco's Massachusetts operations with responsibilities for the overall control and movement of materials, including planning, procurement, storage, distribution, scheduling, and inventory of raw materials and finished good products. The role manages key contributors of Purchasing, Inventory Control, and receiving. CORE JOB DUTIES Planning
- Responsible for collaboration and adherence of Sales, Inventory, and Operations (SIOP) Planning. Ensures optimized material planning, enables production schedules, coordination of the sales and operations planning efforts, and, as needed, initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
- Leads Lean material flow and inventory management initiatives in a proactive manner. Establishes methodologies to identify and maintain inventory levels that ensure customer satisfaction and security of supply while optimizing cash flow.
- Responsible for Plan for Every Part (PFEP) strategy and implementation of systems to ensure alignment of regular material analyses, the Kanban Material System, and the Production Plan.
- Participate in network inventory management, including product lifecycle, turns, aging stock, redesign impacts, and obsolescence
Purchasing/Buying
- Responsible for the Purchasing execution process at the site. Ensures the Buyer are following company Purchasing polices with respect to purchase order approval and maintenance. Ensures Buyers work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Ensures that the Enterprise Supplier Management Process (SMP) is followed at the site and ties to Quality System procedures.
- Develops and implements systems and strategies to reduce direct and indirect material cost, reduce lead times and minimize inventory.
- Leads the site linkage to the Enterprise Supply Chain for Supplier and Supply Chain escalations, Commodity Strategy, related Contracts, cost savings, savings tracker, Supply Chain Excellence, and harmonized Integer supply chain strategies. Collaborates with Enterprise Supply Chain to identify, analyze, and resolve potential supply chain gaps or changes that may impact the site's ability to meet customer demands.
- Manage cycle count and physical inventory cadences to ensure inventory accuracy
- Develop and present monthly metrics
Logistics
- Supports, Collaborates, and integrates with Operations management and other business functional teams to ensure orders are accurate and the on-time delivery commitments are met.
- Ensures compliance with shipping / receiving protocols and procedures to ensure on-time shipments, condition of shipments, accuracy and correctness of paperwork in compliance with transportation regulations, in particular, for hazardous goods.
Other Management Responsibilities
- Adheres to Cresco's Values and all safety, compliance, environmental, security and quality requirements, including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS); Safety; regulatory requirements specific to the Company, site, and business; and Company policies and operating procedures.
- Investigate and pursue benchmark opportunities, both within cannabis and CPG environments
- Effectively manages direct reports and extended reporting structure to develop and then drive on-time completion of goals and the longer-term development of Associates' potentials.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar technical discipline. MBA preferred.
- APICS certification or certificate coursework in Lean Manufacturing Systems (or related) desirable.
- 5+ years of Supply Chain experience in Manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated people leadership experience; First-hand experience leading teams and managing/developing direct reports
- Working knowledge of lean materials management and manufacturing, including value stream mappings, pull systems, problem solving and 5S.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Proven success influencing cross-functionally and managing change
- Demonstrated applied problem-solving skills
- Proficient to advanced computer and presentation skills
- Some travel (<10%) may be required
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.

Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
