Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States can be found in the JOB INFO section below. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Human Resources? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Shared Services function. As an Associate HR Services Representative, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

The HR Shared Services team serves as the primary intake center for service requests at S&C. This includes managing inquiries related to benefits, payroll and other critical HR services as well as being the point of contact for service requests for functional areas across the business. The team provides timely and efficient support and contributes to the overall operational excellence of S&C, ultimately enhancing employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.

The Associate HR Service Representative is responsible for managing the in-take of HR tickets through the service center, playing a pivotal role in providing frontline support to employees. Focusing on responsiveness and efficiency, the rep addresses inquiries, answers questions and ensures the seamless flow of HR-related requests. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this position navigates escalations as needed contributing to the overall effectiveness of S&C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create master benefit files for all new hires and continuously build the files through documentation from a team member's employment activities such as enrollment changes and termination. Auditing of files regularly to ensure completeness.
  • Utilize the HRIS to update the team members' information as it relates to company programs such as benefits plans. Reports data-related issues to senior members of the team for action.
  • Assist in managing retirement plan records, overseeing participants status from current to terminated to deceased.
  • Support file management for S&C wellness programs, registrations and non-health activities
  • Draft communications for various employee events including Wellness Events, Annual Campaigns, Leagues, Museums, Theme Parks etc.
  • Maintain updated records for benefit and wellness programs and coordinate monthly communications about upcoming meetings and events, following up as needed to encourage participation.
  • Assist in coordinating the S&C Annual Giving campaign, reconcile pledges and contributions with external partners, payroll and accounting.
  • Coordinate the registration process for team member events, handling sign-in-sheets and payments and drafting/compiling surveys
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed, maintaining the benefit services materials list and display wall, restocking supplies and updating records.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):

  • Bachelor's degree in business, a related field or equivalent experience in a related role.
  • 0-1 year of demonstrated experience in HR Services or a related customer-centric HR role showing strong customer service skills with demonstrated experience responding to inquiries in a valuable and timely manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the Shared Services team, vendors and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy including with highly confidential information and employee files.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to estimate how long tasks will take and schedule accordingly.
  • Ability to work in a team and approach collaborative activities with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to enter data both electronically and manually with accuracy asking for clarification when data appears to be incorrect.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with the ability to reconcile expense lists and create simple budgets for events and other department activities
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow or an alternative support ticketing system.

  • Standing: Occasional standing for work
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting of supplies weighing from 5 to 20 pounds and some operation of hand carts when preparing for course delivery
  • Walking: Occasional walking throughout the facility
  • Carrying: Occasional carrying of light objects
  • Pushing: Infrequent pushing of objects
  • Observation/Eyesight: Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to differentiate between colors
  • Environment: Standard office
