Echocardiograph Technician (Per Diem)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Echocardiograph Technician atNYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, located on First Avenue & 97^th Street in Manhattan, accommodate over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Opportunity Details:

• Informs patient briefly of procedure.
• Performs echocardiograms in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines.
• Perform stress-echocardiograms in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines.
• Assist in performance of Transesophageal echos in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and stocking supplies as well as informing your supervisor of any technical concern.
• Maintain examination area for patients' testing area in accordance with current practice and ASE guidelines.
• Maintain written daily procedure log, enters initial patient information into the computer system and computerization of echo data.
• Participate in Divisional and in-service meeting.
• Liaison with Laboratory Supervisor to adjust schedules to accommodate stat orders, new admissions, etc. to prioritize test to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Participates In Performance Improvement Activities.

• Bachelor's degree and RCDS education and certification
• Hourly rate: $39.86/hr*. - $43.65/hr.*
