Role Summary

In this role, you will work in collaboration with autonomy stack teams, feature owners, and other cross-
functional teams to develop and integrate software which provides the feature operation to the user
and explore opportunities for feature improvements to help achieve our goal of delivering world class
products!


Responsibilities

  • Development of application code to implement parking features and other low speed
    maneuvering features to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Development and maintenance of software unit-tests
  • Development and execution of feature and sensor test cases and test scripts for Simulation,
    HIL, and vehicle tests
  • Development and execution of large dataset queries to identify trends and analyze feature
    metrics
  • Collaborate with other autonomy development teams (perception, planning, motion control,
    embedded sw and others) for end-to-end automated driving feature development and
    integration
  • Collaborate with requirements definition team to implement feature level requirements
    Root-cause issues related to features reported from the integration, validation, and triage
    teams as well as external customers
  • Work with vehicle integration, vehicle test and HIL teams to coordinate feature/ECU/HIL/vehicle
    level testing for continued development of Autonomy features
  • Lead code reviews, review and approve code from others to conform with code quality
    standards, and provide technical guidance & recommendations
  • Stay current with ongoing platform SW updates and improvements including creating best
    practice documentation applicable to your team

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years (Bachelor's)/2+ years (Master's) professional experience in Software Development
  • Proficient in programming with C, C++, Python, and bash scripting
  • Experienced with software debugging, general root cause analysis, and working with cross-
    functional teams in a Product / Feature development environment
  • Understanding / knowledge of ADAS and Autonomy features including sensors like radar and
    camera
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong critical thinking skills and passion to figure things out
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and continuous integration concepts for developing and
    implementing software including git
  • Familiarity with interaction with cloud data platforms such as Amazon S3 and Databricks

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $162,800-$203,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
