The duties of the position are to 1) carry out projects developing systems for rapid antibody evolution (80%), and 2) coordinate collaborative projects with labs at UCI and other institutions involving antibody evolution and engineering for biological applications such as therapeutic protein discovery (20%). The initial appointment will be full-time for a 24-month period. Requirements: A PhD in biomedical engineering or related field; research experience in synthetic biology, yeast genetics, protein engineering, or related fields; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; and strong communication (oral and written) skills are required.
