We are seekingFamily Engagement Specialistto join our team in the DuBois, PA area.

Position Details

This position manages full cycle family recruiting. This role provides ongoing case management and services to ensure long term involvement with foster parents.

Family recruitment
* Oversee, coordinate and conduct recruiting events; identify and build relationships with community groups, etc. that could provide a viable candidate pool
* Adhere to, and drive Merakey recruitment best practices including administering interview feedback/collection
* Interviews and approves foster parents
* Partners with candidates through the background screening and credentialing processes to expedite the process
* Ensures a best in class candidate experience and employment brand on behalf of Merakey.

Case Management/Services
* Collaborates during intake to identify the most appropriate environment for placement.
* Conducts monthly supervision with foster parents.
* Ensures foster parents are meeting expectations of necessary documentation and deadlines
* Primary input, based on observation, documentation and experience in identifying concerns, continuation of care, etc.
* Conducts training as needed
* Supports interactions with children (e.g. was identified training implemented/helpful)

Administrative
* Approves and manages documentation from foster parents, ensuring on time payment.
* Meets all necessary compliance issues including but not limited to clearances, fire drills, walk throughs to ensure safety of the home, quality care
* Creates, edits and keeps documentation per Merakey policy and practice in a timely manner

Possesses good customer service skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills;
awareness of marketing principles; broad experience with computers and software
applications; and ability to develop teamwork.
* Experience engaging with a diverse population and ability to respond appropriately to crisis situations
* Experience working with clients, developing trust and conducting interviews in non-traditional settings and unstructured environments
* Travel is required

Earn: $19-20 per hr.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience with social services/healthcare admissions.
