Lead Warehouse Operator - Whitestown, IN

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding the daily operations of warehouse staff. This role involves leading teams involved in unloading, picking, packing, checking, and loading orders. The Warehouse Team Lead ensures that all activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety and company policies. The Warehouse Lead handles automotive and industrial bearings in finished goods packaging.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership: Lead warehouse packing team ensuring productivity and efficiency. Provide clear direction, training, and support to team members. Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and escalate issues to the management team. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues promptly. Ensure proper handling and storage of bearings. Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Utilize warehouse management systems and other tools to optimize operations. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure the accuracy of orders. Conduct regular inspections of work areas and finished products. Address any discrepancies or quality issues promptly.

• Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the warehouse. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift certification required
• High school diploma/GED Required, Mathematical competency.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Computer and basic math skills, Microsoft 365 office required.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including mandatory overtime.
• Ability to sit prolonged periods of time, working on a computer.
