Minimum Qualifications

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Entomology, Ecology, Biology, or related life science field is preferred, together with some post-graduate training and experience in scientific research.
Position Summary
Conduct research on interactions between monarch butterflies and a protozoan parasite in North America.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Experience in conducting ecological research in a collaborative setting, and in collecting and managing data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microscopy experience
  • Understanding of sterile techniques
  • Proficiency in Excel
