Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, occasional weekend work may be required, but can be discussed with supervisor beforehand.

A bachelor's degree in Entomology, Ecology, Biology, or related life science field is preferred, together with some post-graduate training and experience in scientific research.

Conduct research on interactions between monarch butterflies and a protozoan parasite in North America.

Plan, coordinate and participate in field and experimental work focused on monarch-parasite interactions, including insect husbandry and greenhouse operations.

Collect, compile and analyze community science data on monarch-parasite interactions, and support project outreach mission.

Supervise and train undergraduate student workers.

Laboratory organizational and administrative tasks, including oversee the organization and relocation of materials from Ecology to Entomology; order supplies, research permits, lab safety, instrument maintenance.

Interpret project findings, analyze data, develop scientific manuscripts and presentations.

Other duties as assigned.
