As part of the Adtalem Elevate team, the Senior Licensing & Accreditation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that all institutions and business units comply with state, federal, and accreditor requirements. This includes securing and maintaining approvals to operate, grant degrees, and recruit across all relevant jurisdictions. The Senior Analyst provides expert guidance on regulatory policies, standards, and processes, supporting each ATGE institution in navigating the regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will bring experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, or accreditation management, along with strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. In this role you will:
- Lead and support all analyst functions, stepping in as needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with business owners to collect necessary data and materials for applications and reports.
- Oversee the accurate and timely submission of all application materials in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain and update databases and resource materials essential for assigned tasks.
- Evaluate current and proposed regulations, assess their impact on institutional operations, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Manage special projects and assignments as they arise, handling related duties as needed.
- Potentially mentor new colleagues, sharing expertise and experience to foster team growth.
- Maintain and update regulatory heat maps to track compliance and regulatory status.
- Successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
- Collaborate in evaluating new institutional initiatives, prioritizing tasks to secure necessary regulatory approvals.
- Assist the Manager in assessing the implications of new or proposed regulations for the institution.
- Comply with all relevant policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring consistent regulatory adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a federal or state-regulated environment required, with experience in higher education licensing or accreditation preferred.
- Proven experience gathering and analyzing various types of data and communicating information clearly in prescribed forms.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to consistently complete projects and tasks on or ahead of schedule with minimal supervision.
- Strong general computing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills, along with critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and superb proofreading abilities.
- Ability to interact with senior leadership and outside agencies in a professional and effective manner.
- Writing samples required.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $49,199.33 and $86,253.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
