Description
The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a Permanent Part Time (PPT25) Custodian to help keep the City-Wide Community Center clean and presentable. The 30,000 square foot Community Center was opened in June of 2018 and features several program rooms, exercise studios, large multipurpose gym and large Auditorium.
Our ideal candidate has experience with custodial duties and outside maintenance, however we do provide the necessary training. We are looking for someone who can work a variable schedule that changes seasonally with the school year.
TYPICAL WORK SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Permanent Part Time 25 Hours Weekly - Evenings and weekends are required. School year schedule 10 am -3pm and 2 pm -7 pm for summer hours, Monday - Friday *some weekends may be required.

Performs work in the general cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)
Performs custodial duties which include cleaning offices, common areas, rest rooms and kitchen areas; vacuums carpets, scrubs and waxes floors, dusts, washes windows and performs other miscellaneous custodial duties associated with maintaining clean buildings and facilities.
Clears walkways of snow.
Empties trash containers, sweeps parking lots and exterior walk-ways.
Maintains inventory of all supplies required to perform the duties of the position.
Repairs and/or assembles small appliances as required.
May run a variety of miscellaneous errands including, pick-up and delivery of inter-departmental mail, supplies etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
No prior experience or training is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License
CPR and First Aid certification desirable
Supplemental Information
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The incumbent's working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
