Product Marketing Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing product marketing strategies that result in revenue growth and profitability.

A skilled storyteller, this leader will matrix manage across the org, create value conversations with Payers/Providers and deliver those stories through presentations and marketing efforts. This position works collaboratively across departments to develop content marketing plans, launch plans, support buyer journeys, thought leadership, lead generation campaigns, signature stories, collateral, sales tools, and presentations.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager works closely with product leadership on new and existing products to coordinate user feedback sessions and initiatives, assess buyer and user needs and develop/maintain consistent positioning statements/key messages that resonate with market buyers. This position manages all marketing aspects of product launches and takes an active role in strategic sales calls and customer-facing activities when needed.

To be qualified for this position, you:

  • Have over five years of experience in product marketing or product management experience in a high tech or health care environment. Healthcare background is required to be considered for this role.

What you will be doing:

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between product development and customer engagement, ensuring that the right products reach the right customers in a compelling way.
  • Contextualizing - Build deep understanding of market trends, buyer (and user) personas, client needs and preferences, and value drivers relating to your assigned products and Availity at large. Analyze & document competitors and industry dynamics to optimally position our capabilities in context of market opportunities and challenges we can solve for.
  • Product positioning - Develop clear, value-based positioning for assigned products, communicating the unique differentiation for targeted buyer personas / target markets, the problems the product is intended to solve, and quantifying impact / outcomes.
  • Go-to-market strategy - Create and implement strategic marketing plans to commercialize new and existing products - in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product management, and marketing.
  • Product launches - Plan and execute launch programs to generate excitement and awareness amongst clients and prospects. Coordinate launch activities across multiple channels, such as client communications, advertising, PR, events, digital marketing.
  • Messaging & content development - Support the development of compelling messaging, communications and content that resonates with our target audience. This includes creating sales collateral, PowerPoint presentations, product guides, website content, thought leadership, and other marketing materials. Build content to support strategic events, including Availity Connects and Availity Connects Virtual webinars.
  • Sales enablement - Coordinate "ready to talk" and "ready to sell" activities for sales. Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training and resources to effectively sell the product. This may involve developing sales presentations, competitive battlecards, and more.
  • Customer insights - In partnership with product management, gather feedback from clients through advisory board meetings, interviews, research, and other methods to gain insight into client satisfaction, preferences and pain points. Leverage these "voice of the customer" insights to inform product and marketing strategies and positioning.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with product management teams / "bullet trains" to align product roadmaps to marketing strategies. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive product success. Take an active role in strategic sales calls and customer-facing activities when needed
