Description

The End-to-End (E2E) Planning Analyst will perform financial analysis and guide decision-making related to manufacturing, procuring, and trading paper across Liberty Diversified International (LDI) and its family of businesses, which has multiple manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico. The E2E Planning Analyst is responsible for paper inventory management across the enterprise, actively managing and adjusting inventory levels across the entire network of facilities producing or consuming roll stock.

Through constant interaction with the E2E Planning team, Liberty Paper, and Liberty Packaging personnel, the E2E Planning Analyst will ensure that all decisions related to the manufacturing, buying, or trading of paper are made with the best interests of the total enterprise in mind, making data-driven choices based on optimizing both cost and service levels while ensuring appropriate levels of inventory are placed appropriately across the network.

To succeed in this position, the individual will possess a high degree of financial acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to manage and influence across a fast-paced work environment. This position will report to the Director End-to-End Planning at our Liberty Paper location in Becker, Minnesota.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all decisions related to making, buying, or trading paper are data-driven and made to optimize cost and service levels across the organization, managing the inherent tradeoffs in this work.
  • Merge paper forecasts from the box plants and LDI's external partners and recommend making/buying/trading decisions based on analysis and data to maximize profitability and service levels. Collaborate transparently with the extended team to manage the trade-offs of such decisions.
  • Actively manage inventory levels across the organization, setting and adjusting inventory levels based on data and analytics and feedback from Sales and Customer Service.
  • Collaborate with the team responsible for paper procurement (buy/sell/trade) to plan daily/weekly/monthly purchases and trades and optimize long-term agreements with LDIs paper partners for cost and service levels.
  • Assist in company-wide efforts to develop and revise long-term strategic planning for paper with the mill and LDI's external partners.
  • Work closely with the team responsible for procuring, scheduling, and managing inventory levels of old corrugated cardboard (OCC) to ensure a seamless transition between demand and supply planning.
  • Work directly with the team responsible for scheduling the paper mill and coater to assist in daily/weekly/monthly scheduling decisions and making day-to-day scheduling adjustments as circumstances require.
  • Partner with the team responsible for the transportation and logistics of paper and OCC to help devise cost-effective solutions to transport paper across the organization.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to lead, optimize, and cultivate continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in scheduling or a similar role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Master's degree

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $75,215 - $94,022 per year. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
