Manager, Business Development Representative (BDR) team

Netsmart is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to lead and mentor a high-performing team of 12 BDRs in our Kansas City office. This individual will be responsible for driving pipeline growth, optimizing outreach strategies, and fostering a culture of accountability and success. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of exceeding quotas, developing sales talent, and implementing data-driven strategies to maximize performance. Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard and cultivate talent that will be effective in the short-term BDR role but prepared for and capable of delivery in an expanded role inside Netsmart.

  • Directly manage individual business development representatives responsible for inbound lead follow-up, tradeshow/conference pre and post promotion, and owning named accounts for outbound prospecting

  • Regularly monitor team's pipeline production and conduct pipeline health reviews

  • Coach team on calling, follow-up, nurturing and relationship building strategies through the teach, demonstrate, inspect model.

  • Work closely with solution marketing, business unit and client organization to develop call guides, talking points, objection handling and qualification criteria

  • Report regularly to the program's leaders, client organization leaders and other company executives on team performance

  • Create an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement

  • Work across the matrix to collaborate with the business, unit, client organization and marketing

  • Analyze and act on feedback from sales on the quality of leads

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 5 years of BDR or similar inside sales role, preferably at a technology company

  • At least 2 years people management experience

  • Full sales cycle experience complete with recycled and reconstituted opportunity nurturing

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrix-managed environment where ambiguity is common and individual initiative is critical

  • Exercise relationship management skills with ability to build rapport, influence and deepen relationships with stakeholders

  • Possess excellent communication skills, high energy, and a passion for results

  • Self-motivated, hard-working individual committed to their own success

  • Tenacity to drive results while working in collaboration with other teams within marketing and across the matrix

  • Confidence and professionalism are a must, coupled with an open mind and a hunger for personal and professional growth

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Experience with CRM, preferably Salesforce.com

Preferred

  • Healthcare industry experience in human services and/or post-acute

  • Experience with a marketing automation platform (Marketo) and/or sales automation (SalesLoft)
