This role is responsible for delivering impactful business recommendations and value propositions through the management and analysis of the annual Gulf of America Operating Expenditure (OPEX/LOE) budgets, monthly outlooks, and post-appraisals. The position involves cross-functional collaboration and direct accountability for the accurate forecasting of both Project OPEX and Direct OPEX.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic insights, summarizing data, developing dashboards, preparing presentations, and delivering critical information to management. This individual will also play a key role in guiding and leading discussions within the LOE Committee, aimed at prioritizing project funding allocation and fostering organizational accountability.

Job duties:

  • Prepare monthly Outlooks in coordination with GOA Planning and Finance Teams. Provide deliverables that include: monthly deviation to previous Outlook and Budget, monthly deviation to forecasts, updated status reports for Project and Direct Opex by platform and present same to Management, Director and Executive Vice President levels.

  • Work directly with Operations Enterprise & Strategy, Operations, Asset, Cost Controllers and Facilities Teams and others to progress OPEX Projects through the LOE Committee (LOEC) process, including review of value case and opportunities to increase value, project portfolio management, and budget recommendations.

  • Create long-term 3-year and 5-year plans per platform and roll-up to GOM-wide outlooks. Create multiple scenarios for optionality. Concurrently progress multidisciplinary strategies for Operations, Supply Chain, Cost Control, and other groups.

  • Develop and track goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for review and foster a continuous improvement mindset. Seek out business and process improvements and lead cross-functional efforts.

  • Issue reports on Opex Project progress, cost variances, and initiative support by scheduling meetings, facilitating communication between multidisciplinary teams, documentation, data collection, analysis and dissemination, and project updates among other organizational business elements.

  • Develop meeting content including: objectives and agendas based on proposed projects and requested budget, action logs, review material, and summary presentations. Manage the inputs and outputs of these meetings and communicate to the necessary information, outputs and deliverables to the involved stakeholders and subsequent teams.

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Project Management, Cost Control or a related field is preferred.

Experience:Minimum of ten years (10) years' experience in project management, project coordination and facilitation, engineering or operations preferably within the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of America. PMP Certification strongly preferred.

  • Business: sufficient business acumen to understand and lead commercial/economic discussions of project value and business risk

  • Technical: must have strong knowledge of Excel, SAP, Microsoft Teams, Word and Powerpoint

  • Organization and Planning: Ability to set clear meeting objectives and agendas; time management in and out of meetings; logistics planning including scheduling, room setup and technology needs.

  • Documentation: taking accurate meeting minutes; summarizing key discussion points and action items; promptly distributing meeting outputs

  • Working in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment with technical team members

  • Strong team player with problem solving capabilities and the ability to manage a broad spectrum of business activities under stressful conditions.

  • Communication skills: clear and concise verbal and written communication; Active listening to understand others' perspectives

  • Responsible and accountable working to high performance standards.
