Intake Clinician Opportunity -

This is a full time, 40 hour per week, evening shift (3-11:30pm) position. If you have a desire to work in an engaging environment with a team of professionals dedicated to the healing and health of the patients we serve, we want to hear from you!

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a 97-bed facility located in Springfield, Illinois. We are dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. We are the only facility of our kind in Central Illinois. We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. A clinically skilled multidisciplinary team works to partner with the youth and family to accomplish their goals in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission

  • Process inquiry and referral calls and respond to request for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission

  • Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork with patient

  • Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree in a mental health/human services field from an accredited college (counseling, social work, psychology) required.
  • Licensure: LCSW/LCPC preferred
  • Experience: 2 years experience in the evaluation and treatment of mental illness preferred
