ORC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Right of Way Title Agent to work on projects based out of Virginia and surrounding states. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside in Virginia and be able to travel throughout the state and surrounding states about 50%-75% of the time. What you will be doing: As a Title Agent, you will be responsible for searching real estate records, both online and in county courthouses. The selected candidate will pull deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, plats, and other instruments required to complete a title search.Agent will compile information into a client provided Title Report while ensuring accuracy of title information. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee occasionally is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This employee is required to occasionally travel to government buildings which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations.
