SRE is seeking a GIS Data Analyst to support a federal contract focused on business, economic, and supply chain data analysis. This role involves managing and maintaining interactive data dashboards, integrating geospatial and economic data, and developing real-time analytics tools to assess economic and supply chain disruptions at national, regional, and local levels.

The ideal candidate will have experience in geographic information systems (GIS), business intelligence, and economic impact analysis, utilizing tools such as Ersi ArcGIS, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Geospatial & Economic Data Analysis



  • Manage and maintain interactive data dashboards, ensuring real-time updates on economic and supply chain disruptions.
  • Collect, process, and analyze business, economic, and supply chain data to assess disruptions, stabilization, and sustainment trends at national, regional, and local levels.
  • Conduct spatial analysis using GIS technologies to support location-based business impact assessments.
  • Use GIS and business intelligence tools to generate insights that support real-time operational decision-making.
  • Process and integrate real-time and near real-time economic, business, and supply chain data to assess disruptions, risks, and stabilization trends.


Data Visualization & Reporting



  • Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive data dashboards that integrate economic, business, and industry data for federal decision-makers.
  • Use GIS, Power BI, and business intelligence tools to produce data visualizations, reports, and geospatial insights in collaboration with analysts and stakeholders.
  • Produce real-time business impact assessments, supply chain risk reports, and economic stabilization updates to support emergency response and recovery planning.


Database Management & Data Quality



  • Manage, maintain, and update geospatial and economic datasets in compliance with federal data standards.
  • Perform data validation, cleaning, and quality control for structured and unstructured data.
  • Ensure secure data retrieval, ingestion, storage, and formatting to meet federal agency requirements.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Support



  • Provide technical support to federal personnel in the use of GIS and data visualization tools.
  • Assist in developing reports, case studies, and technical documentation to help stakeholders interpret data findings.
  • Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, GIS, and/or business intelligence (required).
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS and Power BI with strong expertise in database development, data analysis, and interactive dashboard design, development, and maintenance (required).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets, structured and unstructured data, and economic modeling.
  • Expertise in data visualization, trend analysis, and spatial analysis using GIS and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience assessing supply chain risks, identifying patterns, and forecasting trends to support decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a high-paced, mission-driven environment.


Additional Experience (Preferred, but not required):



  • Experience in supply chain analytics, economic modeling, or emergency response analysis.
  • Familiarity with federal operational structures, disaster recovery processes, or emergency management data analysis.


Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $70,000 - $90,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. SRE considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, SRE adheres to all state and federal requirements regarding salary to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SRE's total compensation package for employees.

Work Environment:

The primary work location of this position is the Washington D.C. Metro area, remote work is allowed but not guaranteed. Please Note: if you live outside the commutable area, travel expenses are not reimbursed to the primary work location.
