Job Summary:

The Human Capital Management (HCM) Intern utilizes his or her educational background as well as his or her organizational skills to serve the firm's client base. The HCM intern assists in providing basic services to clients and partners with more experienced HCM professionals who provide direction, coaching and learning opportunities. The HCM Intern participates in various stages of client engagements that involve the implementation of custom operational solutions.

Job Duties:



  • Assists with informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process
  • Assists in documentation of project requirements and business processes
  • Assists in development of initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
  • Takes minutes during meetings, and produces a meeting summary to present to clients
  • Leverages templates to prepare drafts of various reports, presentations, and documentation
  • Utilizes research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop an understanding of a client's industry
  • Assists with research for and drafting of proposals
  • Assists with documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
  • Other duties, as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:



  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Business Management, Human Resources, or Psychology, required


Experience:



  • Project delivery experience, preferred
  • Leadership experience, preferred
  • Basic human resources or related generalist experience, preferred


Software:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Word, and PowerPoint, required


Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting
  • Strong analytical and basic research skills
  • Solid organizational skills, and ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel based on client and practice needs
