Summary
As a Business Analyst in the IT Department at DSV, you will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into technical requirements and solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating the implementation of IT systems and solutions to support organizational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
* Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather requirements and understand business processes.
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and use cases for IT development teams.
* Develop process flows, system diagrams, and other documentation to support solution design and implementation.
* Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decision-making and solution design.
* Develop data models, reports, and dashboards to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
* Assist in project planning, coordination, and execution, including requirements management, scope definition, and resource allocation.
* Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, IT teams, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide regular updates on project status, key milestones, and risks to project sponsors and stakeholders.
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) activities to validate that IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
* Document and track issues, defects, and enhancement requests throughout the testing process.
* Provide training and support to end-users on new IT systems, tools, and processes implemented within the organization.
* Develop training materials, user guides, and documentation to support knowledge transfer and adoption.
Educational background / Work experience
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, IT project management, or related roles, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
* Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flows).
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
* Experience with business intelligence tools, data visualization software, and database querying languages (e.g., SQL).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
* Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, or other enterprise software solutions.
Language skills
* Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
* Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems architecture concepts.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $68,000 - $92,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
