The Clinical Fellow will commit to a one (1) hear fellowship position (mid-July 2025- end of July 2026) in which you will gain exceptional experience that will help you further your career and obtain your certification of clinical competence. Your Role and Team: Acute Care Join our dynamic and collaborative acute care therapy team that works to empower patients and problem solve barriers to patient success! At Salem Health you get to work at the top of your license, evaluating and treating patients in a wide variety of specialty areas such as neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, intensive care and so much more. Be a part of our multiple centers of excellence providing evidence-based high-quality care for patients undergoing spine surgery and stroke care. As a Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow, we support the development of your clinical skills in Dysphagia management, including administration and interpretation of instrumental assessments, and cognitive linguistic evaluation and treatment. You play an integral role in the planning and implementation of Speech Therapy services and discharge planning. As part of our team, you will work closely with other therapy providers, care managers, allied health specialists, physicians, and advanced practice providers to broaden your skills.Your supervising speech therapist is your direct preceptor, guiding your training and competency development. You are consistently scheduled working alongside other speech therapists on our team and we are committed to affording opportunities for mentorship of clinical decision making and professional growth and development during this 1-year fellowship.What you will need: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and disorders required. Eligible for a temporary license in Oregon under the supervision of an ASHA certified SLP. Complete specialist coursework and hands-on training if working with high-risk populations including adult feeding/swallowing patients.
