POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant for the Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Quality is an integral part of the overall mission of PCOM School of Pharmacy and will be expected to be an active member of the Administrative Assistant Team. This is a non-supervisory position that will report to the PCOM Pharmacy Office Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Quality.
*
Prepares correspondence, reports, memoranda, special projects, technical papers and related material for department staff as requested.
*
Assist the Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Quality in managing annual budget.
*
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures.
*
Composes letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction.
*
Schedules and coordinates meetings and facilities, which may include travel and lodging arrangements for the Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Quality as necessary directly or through designated travel agencies.
*
Organizes major meetings including distributing materials, arranging for refreshments, preparing name tags and transcribing minutes.
*
Provides assistance in the day-to-day administration of SOP Student and Professional Affairs, and Assessment and Program Quality.
*
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
*
Performs other related duties within and outside the department as potential cycle tasks arise, and as assigned or requested by the Assistant Dean for Student and Professional Affairs and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Program Quality and /or Office Manager.
*
Reads and routes incoming mail.
*
Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages and provides routine information to callers.
*
Attends meetings as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
*
High school diploma or GED required.
*
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business administration, liberal arts, or similar discipline, preferred.
Skills and Experience
*
A minimum of two years' experience preferred as an administrative assistant in a fast-paced office with preference given to college or university environment.
*
High level of computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
*
Strong planning and organizational skills.
*
Experience using Banner and Blackboard preferred.
*
Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
*
Strong collaboration skills.
*
Successful candidates will represent the School to different constituencies which may include local, state, national or international professional organizations.
*
Prior experience in the major areas of pharmacy practice and Experiential Education is a benefit.
*
Must have the ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty and staff demonstrating respect and professionalism.
Salary Range: $21.00 - $24.00 The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
