The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator with the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Responsibilities include excellence in diagnosis and teaching in Surgical Pathology, with areas of specialized interest or training in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology. Service responsibilities in other areas of Surgical Pathology could be available to the appropriate candidate if desired. The successful candidate will have a record of demonstrated productivity and scholarship in these areas are expected to conduct investigations in collaboration with clinical colleagues and trainees in Pathology. The Surgical Pathology Division offers subspecialty sign-out and works closely with other divisions within the department, including hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, and diagnostic molecular pathology. In addition to clinical responsibilities and research, faculty are expected to play an active role in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualified candidates will hold MD or MD/PhD degrees and be board certified in AP or AP/CP from the American Board of Pathology and be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois.

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $220,000 - $300,000.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
