Description

  • Provides administrative support to the management within the External Affairs, Corporate Communications and Arkansas Living staff.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and trainings for management personnel.
  • Assists Director of Corporate Communications with organization of news articles and intranet newsletters. Coordinates registration and execution of the annual Arkansas Member Services Conference. Assists with registration of the annual Arkansas State Spelling Bee, SeaPerch robotics competition, and the NRECA Regional meeting, occasionally needing to travel to locations across the state.
  • Coordinates registration for the Director's Summer and Winter Conferences and assists at the registration desk during the conference.
  • Prepares and coordinates mail out materials; obtains documents, publications, reports and research material as requested.
  • Processes vendor invoices and billing submissions for payment.
  • Maintains accurate electronic and hard copy files in functional areas in support of ongoing projects and activities.
  • Handles incoming calls, emails and correspondence professionally and promptly. Manages any issues with copiers and keep supplies updated.
  • Processes advertisement reimbursements for distribution cooperatives.
  • Retrieves and compiles data and statistics for use in various proposals and projects.
  • Arkansas Living editorial assistant: organize and distribute monthly magazines, upload monthly magazine files to the printer, weekly deposits, maintain subscriber's list, process postal returns to the co-ops, type and proof recipes, magazine and gift mailouts, archive room management, CCMS records system management including uploading monthly issues, monitor the Arkansas Living online portal, answer the Arkansas Living telephone line, assisting members and subscribers, and other duties as needed.
  • Assists in the preparation of division reports to the President's office for the monthly board meetings and division annual budget.
  • Maintains accurate electronic and hard copy files in functional areas in support of ongoing projects and activities
  • Ongoing special project: Make sure all Arkansas Living issues are in our record system ensuring all past issues are loaded, going back to 1945. Filling in gaps and assuring all months are accounted for. Organize the archive room to make sure all issues will fit in the space provided while also providing room to grow.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in communications or related field, plus at least 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Driver's license.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Bachelor's degree in English, Jornalism, Media Studies or related field.
