The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is an academic center for integrative health and medicine, providing the best scientific research, education and clinical care, integrating conventional and complementary medicine. Our mission is to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-informed treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.


Your Role on the Team

The naturopathic doctor provides comprehensive integrative medicine services and follow-up visit/conference with patients in the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute to ensure the highest-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide evidence-based, integrative treatments and therapies to patients diagnosed with cancer in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative setting.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Current ND Medical License in the State of California.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation and lecture skills.
  • Demonstrate strong administrative and leadership qualities with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining the highest level of integrity in meeting goals and objectives in line with SSIHI's mission, vision, and priorities.
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office and EMR's.
  • Have experience in curriculum design, development, and teaching methodology.
  • Current BLS.
  • Current California Naturopathic Medical License R 1
  • FABNO
  • At minimum of 5 years of delivering patient care as a naturopathic doctor and working primarily with cancer patients.
  • Experience in curriculum design, development, and teaching methodology.
  • Experience as a clinical leader and/or experience working with patients within multidisciplinary teams and/or a team-based model of care

Preferred:

  • Successful completion of a general medicine residency at a CNME-accredited site.
  • Biofeedback Certification.
  • Knowledge of UCI's policies and procedures.
