Overview: Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Systems Administrator in Fort Collins, CO. This is an onsite contract-to-hire position.
Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers.
  • Manage and configure network switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support for Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Monitor and respond to IT security threats, implementing MFA, endpoint protection, and DLP.
  • Ensure patch management for servers and software.
  • Assist users with hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Maintain Active Directory in a multi-forest, hybrid environment.
  • Configure and manage GPO settings and Microsoft Intune for device security.
  • Oversee hardware and software lifecycle management.
  • Provide round-the-clock support for critical IT issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and consultants to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Networking, or IT-related field.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on IT experience in system administration or IT support.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.



Nice to have:



  • Familiarity with Novell networks and migration projects.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, Microsoft Intune, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • General scripting experience.
