What you'll do

As a member of the global Accounting team, the Accounting Processes and Systems Analyst will support the continuous improvement in the efficiency and accuracy of accounting business processes worldwide. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efforts to streamline processes and identify solutions to support efforts to improve efficiencies to satisfy the demands of our fast-paced, high-growth firm.

The Accounting Processes and Systems Analyst is a full-time role located in Southfield, Michigan and reports to the Accounting Processes and Systems Manager. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.



  • Assist in gathering business requirements as input to comprehensive solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, agility, and scalability for accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build and enhance documentation of accounting processes and controls.
  • Support projects specific to accounting processes and/or other firm-wide initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc reports & analysis and collaborate with colleagues within Accounting to support and maintain key, recurring reports.
  • Develop a holistic understanding of various accounting processes, financial systems and tools.
  • Help address inquiries and resolve issues related to team-created solutions.
  • Build networks within the firm and collaborate successfully with colleagues to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
  • Support user acceptance testing for new reports, processes, and recurring SAP upgrades, as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and support firm initiatives as assigned.

What you'll need



  • Bachelor's degree required; ideal candidate has accounting/finance/business/economics or related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year of accounting/finance experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, modeling, and financial systems required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, displaying the highest degree of integrity. Experienced and comfortable working and communicating directly with senior executives and professional staff.
  • A business style that is fluid and adaptive in a dynamic environment.
  • Enjoys identifying creative process improvements and finding ways to capture or extract data needed by others and present or modify it according to their requirements.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work independently on complex assignments.
  • Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the business, over time, and find new ways to enhance the value brought to our firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
