Summary

The Sr Merchandising Leads play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. The Merchandising Lead is responsible for overseeing the workflow and training of assigned merchandising teams. The Lead works closely with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure customers receive excellent customer service. This position assists with training and onboarding new Merchandisers as they learn the essential job functions.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Oversee workflow of assigned merchandising team
  • Provide assistance with customer calls, complaints and issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain positive relationships and direct communication with store personnel, and sales and delivery teams
  • Work with Merchandising Supervisor to resolve customer service issues
  • Work with merchandising and sales team members on a continual basis to train, support and evaluate needs
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job
  • Rotate product on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with merchandising store as needed
  • Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned
  • Work with and train merchandisers

Work Environment

This job operates in our accounts, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work.

Physical Demands



  • Lift/carry 35 lbs. repetitively and up to 75 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
  • Climb stairs
  • Work indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to drive and operate a vehicle
  • Operate equipment



Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary and include both weekend days and overtime as necessary.

Travel

Local branch travel only

Required Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
  • Minimum of 21 years of age



Preferred Education and Experience



  • Previous grocery or retail experience
  • Twelve (12) months merchandising experience
  • Six (6) months of weekend lead merchandising experience
  • Supervisor lever management preferred
  • People management preferred



Compensation



  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
  • Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
