Job Description:

Salesforce is seeking a seasoned and transformational Area Vice President, Federal Civilian Agency Sales to serve as a key member and business leader to the Public Sector Sales Leadership Team. This leader will be responsible for inspirational sales leadership, setting the strategy and vision, and management of growth within the top US Federal Government Agencies, including but not limited to Dept of Commerce, Dept of Energy, Small Business Admin, Dept of Homeland Security, NASA, Amtrak and NARA. This leader will possess a deep understanding of Federal Government solutions, architecture and systems modernization strategies supported by generative AI platforms. This leader will be required to drive new business through the implementation of scalable, repeatable, and structured go-to market processes.

Additionally, this leader will serve as a strong Business Leader, a Customer Partner and a Talent Multiplier and will have the personal drive and commitment to both understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing, global company striving towards continued domination in an evolving marketplace.

Job Profile:

* The AVP, Federal Civilian Sales - will be responsible for helping to set and execute Salesforce's Public Sector sales strategy. This executive will assume the leadership of a growing sales organization including 6 Regional Vice-Presidents and 48 Account Executives (AE) to help steer complex enterprise SaaS contracts to Government Agencies and their stakeholders
* Set and execute a comprehensive, multi-year vision for driving strategic customer growth and adoption of Agentic engagement solutions and architecture
* Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies to build and grow executive level relationships within these key accounts
* Maintain strong reporting and accountability against metrics associated with Hiring, Contracts Growth, and Weekly Forecasting

*Lead the entire Sales organization to align toward co-creating SaaS solutions with Government Customers, Govt System Integrators and Salesforce ISV Partners
* Act as a strategic thought leader and advisor to the SVP, U.S. Federal & Canada Public Sector Sales
* Work closely with functions and other executives across the organization to establish and develop a strong and collaborative partnership to ensure continued success
* Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels

Required Skills/Experience:

* Experience managing the overall vision and strategy of Enterprise/Strategic Accounts
* Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
* Solid track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining a high performing enterprise sales organization
* 2nd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales in a national or global region
* 12+ years in software and/or applications sales (ideally in a CRM, ERP and/or otherwise relevant software company), selling primarily to the CxO level
* Proven ability to drive transformational change across a large organization: understands the drivers of how to change a culture, assess performance, continuously refresh a sales organization and build capability
* Excellent operational and analytical abilities
* Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference-able customers
* Dynamic and strong sales execution mindset with a passion for a fast-paced growing environment
* Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing relationships across all functions
* Experience selling cloud based enterprise applications is required
* Champions diversity of team, thought, and opinion with a demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members

For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $258,150 to $345,300.
