Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a DSD Routing Analyst to work remote. Working with the Sales Operations Team, the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Routing Analyst will maximize route efficiencies through the design, creation, and implementation of optimal routing solutions and will provide ongoing support and consultation regarding route restructure, route realignment, and route evaluation from creation to completion for our entire DSD network. Additionally, the DSD Routing Analyst will work with the Independent Operator (IO) Change Management team to create detailed maps for IO contracts and also create and maintain a centralized database of contracted territories. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing direction to the Sales Operations Team regarding route restructure, route realignment, and route evaluation by developing and evaluating routing pro forma analysis for existing and potential business opportunities.
- Manage the Omnitracs Strategy Planner software by Solera.
- Create route stop sequences for company-owned routes only.
- Create "What if" routing scenarios and prepare before and after visualizations of potential route restructures.
- Analyze the effectiveness of implemented changes through ongoing monitoring and communication with the Sales Operations Team.
- Gather and analyze external industry data and prepare reports as needed related to delivery quality and costs incremental to distribution centers.
- Create and maintain a centralized and searchable database of IO contracted territory maps.
- Create and modify primary areas of responsibility (PARs) and maps for IO distribution contracts.
- Recommend restructuring opportunities to area vice presidents based on route criteria such as performance, geography, and saturation.
- Assist in drafting re-engineering opportunity workstreams that are conducive to a best-in-class DSD distribution network.
- Provide support on various initiatives, analysis, and projects as assigned.
- Report food, office or operational safety problems to a supervisor or manager to initiate action.
- Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, and work and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the Company's objectives.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with routing software, preferably Omnitracs Strategic Planner by Solera, is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supply chain or sales experience is preferred.
- Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing to communicate and work effectively with all levels of internal associates and external contacts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work under pressure with limited supervision.
- Must be able to think creatively to introduce new sales tracking methods or improve existing methods.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.
