The Platform EHS Manager is responsible for leading Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability programs and projects across the Watts Applied Solutions organization which is made up of 4 manufacturing operations and 1 engineering location based in the US. You Will:
  • Lead day to day EHS related operations at the Blauvelt, NY facility (home base) as well as responsibility and support for the Fort Myers, FL, Fort Worth, TX, Escondido, CA, and Centennial, CO locations,

  • Plans, promotes, and organizes Company-wide training activities relative to EHS across the organization.

  • Manages and is accountable for implementation and effectiveness of each site health & safety committee, and daily, weekly, and monthly reporting obligations across the platform.

  • Works with the Corporate Director of EHS and platform leadership I improvements within the EHS function.

  • Manages compliance reporting for EHS related programs.

  • Acts as safety representative that directly coordinates with the Corporate Director of EHS to drive standardization.

  • Drives safe practices in operations and facility in alignment with company expectations, policies, and compliance requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with safety programs such as Lockout Tagout, fall protection, fire prevention, emergency procedures, and evacuation procedures.

  • Coordinates with outside parties, vendors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, such as OSHA, EPA, and local government bodies.

  • Drives EHS root cause analysis of EHS issues and communicates with leadership as prescribed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to define a vision and strategy for the EHS function, including Sustainability.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration in a matrix environment.
  • Advanced computer skills (Work, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Direct experience in managing an EHS management system.
  • Experience with ISO14001 and/or ISO45001 desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is required

  • .4+ years' experience in related field in a fast-paced environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in Maintenance and Facilities Operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodology.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).

  • Experience managing multi-site operations and teams.

  • 30-40% travel required,

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
