Job Description

Facilities Coordinator, Commack/Hauppauge Location

We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support two Outpatient Facilities in Long Island (MSK Commack, and MSK Hauppauge) as well as partner with the MSK Nassau Facilities Coordinator to support MSK long Island Outpatient facilities. Our Facilities Coordinator provides critical support to our clinical, research and administrative teams.

The person in this role will coordinate facilities maintenance, monitoring, and purchasing. They will be responsible for capital equipment purchases & repairs for the supported areas. They will be a strategic partner to the Outpatient Operations Management Team, and serve as a liaison between building management, outside vendors, and other MSK team members.

Role Overview:

    Be accountable for the quick and effective resolution of all concerns related to specific facility maintenance and operations issues for our Long Island sites
  • Ensure that all areas in the facility, including all offices, conference rooms, waiting areas, and administrative areas are maintained in a safe, attractive, and appropriate manner
  • Plan and participate in Environment of Care Safety Rounds and implement interventions to ensure areas remain inspection ready
  • Ensure medical equipment is available and partner with MSK departments and outside vendors to ensure equipment is functioning appropriately
  • Conduct invoice reconciliation for outside vendors and process payment in partnership with Outpatient Facility Manager as required

  • Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals
  • An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences
  • Able to demonstrate good judgment, independent decision-making ability, thoroughness, attention to detail, and initiative

Core Skills:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting with an understanding of operations
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use available resources to find resolutions in a timely manner

Additional Information:

Schedule: Flexible hours up to 5 days/week, between the hours of 7AM & 8PM. Including some weekends (Saturdays) based on department's needs.

Location: 650 Commack Road (Commack)

Reporting to: Outpatient Operations

Pay Range $23.54-$35.44
