City of Hope Medical Group is Seeking an Hematopathologist to Join our Orange County Team

Join one of the top 5 cancer centers in the nation! Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute we seek to hire a full-time experienced Anatomic Pathologist to join our clinical faculty at the City of Hope National Medical Center, in Duarte, California. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create, gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully. As part of our expanding focus on Hematologic Malignancies and support of the Stem Cell Transplant Program, City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking an academic Hematopathologist who is highly qualified and board-certified to meet the growing needs of our expanding Division of Hematopathology in the Department of Pathology. Position Highlights:

  • Clinical responsibilities include diagnostic services to support the clinical care of patients with Hematological Malignancies.
  • Join a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists.
  • Develop and support translational and clinical research in Hematopathology.
  • Participate in training our ACGME and non-ACGME Hematopathology fellows.

Position Benefits:

  • Excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement contribution plan.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • Base Salary Range: $310k to $480k. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have an MD or equivalent medical degree and possess or be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license.
  • Board certification in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology is required.
  • Academic record consistent with appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor is preferred.
  • The candidate must possess solid diagnostic skills in lymph node and bone marrow pathology and flow cytometry.
  • Successful candidates will have at least three years of experience in academic Hematopathology.
  • Evidence of research productivity and success in teaching fellows are required.
