Compensation Grade: P09Compensation Details: Minimum: $38,859.00 - Maximum: $38,859.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) CCH - Division of Family HealthJob Description: Responsibilities The Clerk II will serve as liaison between the New York State(NYS) Maternal Mortality Review and the New York City Maternal Mortality Review for clerical activities, as well as perform various clerical duties to support the NYS Maternal Mortality Review Board (MMRB), including but not limited to requesting Medical Records, Autopsy Reports, and Police Reports; entering confidential information in the Maternal Mortality Review Information Application; making calls and sending emails to follow up on outstanding requests; and recording the status of all requests in the Maternal Mortality Review Database. The Clerk II will also perform general office responsibilities including filing, scanning, copying, and ordering supplies. This position may also include performing online searches for incarceration history, trial sentencing, and filing of documentation if needed. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree in a related field or higher degree in a related field; OR two years of general office, secretarial, or administrative experience. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of experience in one or more of the following areas: public health, data entry, using a computer database or electronic health system, incoming/outgoing mail, faxing/scanning/copy machine, working with highly confidential information. Experience making phone calls to follow up on outstanding requests for information. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 10% of the time, will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
