Project Expeditor Mobile, AL 36582 Pay: 25.00 to 43.00 - depending on experience Duration: 3 months contract (could go longer) Principal Accountabilities * Expedite project material (bulks), equipment, vendor engineering drawings, and fabrication schedules. * Requires knowledge of purchase orders, proficiency with SAP, and excellent communication skills with vendors, procurement, and project teams (Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, Construction Mgt., and Scheduler.) * Monitor material timelines and enter all Purchase Orders out of SAP into the expediting log. * Issue updated expediting log on weekly basis to all project team members * Participate in weekly project status meetings and report on pertinent delivery status developments. * Assist in administration of project PO's by Line-Item Number as well as verifying correct format of acceptable vendor / contractor invoices in regards to SAP processing requirements. * Verify packing slips with purchase order to ensure correct material is received, as well as enter Goods Receipt into SAP. * Check materials quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with purchase order. * Coordinate, document and administrate all material distribution to construction contractors. * Verification of pipe spool prefabrication unit rate contractor invoices as well as assist in bid analyses of such contracts. * Ability to understand pipe isometrics as well as pipe spool detail sheet required. * Report to Project Manager and Construction Manager immediately on delays to determine project impact. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years' experience in supporting the planning, estimating, scheduling and controls of Capital Investment Projects. * Broad knowledge of standard industry practices, cost and schedule management, and engineering / procurement / construction means and methods as they relate to capital investment projects. * The working environment is fast-paced and constantly changing. * Expeditor is faced with the pressure of deadlines from many different projects running concurrently. * Proficiency in SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning tools is highly preferred. * Close communication with the vendors/contractors, planners, engineers, and procurement is essential.
