Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with 10+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform and a strong understanding of merchandising domain. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Oversee the migration of existing applications to the cloud ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure through regular monitoring and optimization.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and processes.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary measures to protect data and applications.
• Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
• Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage cloud resources efficiently to optimize cost and performance.
• Support the development and deployment of cloud-native applications leveraging Google Cloud Platform services.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud architecture and processes to enhance overall system performance.

Qualifications

• Possess extensive experience in designing and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Have a solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Show proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline cloud operations.
• Have experience in the merchandising domain which is a plus.
• Display a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $1000000 - $150000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
