Position Summary |
This position is responsible for directing the daily operations of the Office of the Associate Dean for Extension, which includes the Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean and the Director of County Operations. This position has full responsibility for management of the office and coordinating the Associate Dean's activities to support the strategic initiatives of
UGA Cooperative Extension. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean for Extension and is the liaison with the Associate Dean's direct reports, the
CAES Dean's Office, and external constituencies including other administrators, faculty, students, and external stakeholders. |

- Serves as primary liaison between the Associate Dean AND direct reports, UGA senior administrators, faculty, and staff for day-to-day office operations, projects and initiatives.
- Frequent contact and interactions with industry and stakeholder groups both in Georgia and beyond.
- Exercises significant judgment in planning and managing the Associate's Dean's calendar.
- Oversee and evaluate information technology needs for the Office to include maintaining video conferencing systems and related peripherals.
- Responsible for arranging Zoom meetings, office conferences and facilitating inter-office communications.
- Supervises student workers and interns in the office; supports team environment of the Associate Dean's Office.

- Prepares briefings and background documents for the Associate Dean before meetings and events.
- Manages the Associate Dean's internal and public facing mass communication efforts.
