HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?
Our Transportation Business Development Director will build, develop, and implement a sales strategy for Department of Transportation account plans (target clients, opportunity identification & qualification, relationship maps, and more) that will lead to growth. We are seeking an experienced hunter and market expander with a process improvement/engineering mindset.
This is a high exposure role, partnering with a quickly growing North Highland industry group nationally. You'll have the opportunity to shape what we're doing and further build our go to market strategies. We are a market maker, and we have a 'differentiator' set of offerings.
YOU WILL:
Cultivate effective working relationship with NH counterparts (Client Executives, Client Leads, account teams).
Build and develop a sales strategy for the account that will lead the growth.
Be a part of a cohesive team among all functions of North Highland.
Effectively seek opportunities to learn / grow, be willing to immerse yourself in the community.
Establish account level budgets and forecasts and meet account financial goals.
Develop and implement account plans (target clients, opportunity identification and qualification, relationship maps, etc.)
Continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of North Highlands offerings and services, and constraints, and develop and maintain both industry and customer relationships that benefit North Highland.
Partner with the NH Portfolio leaders to build strategy and approach helping to identify target accounts. Identify resource needs, align resources, hire resources, train, develop and coach team to successfully achieve goals and expectations.
Partner with client account leaders and sales executives across the firm to create go-to-market strategies, prioritization of targets and overall execution plans.
Developing professional network through association memberships, speaking, and writing engagements and community activities.
WHAT WE HOPE YOU HAVE:
10+ years management consulting, advisory, professional services and / or Big4 consulting experience.
7+ years experience selling to buyers, ideally in the local technology segment.
5+ years experience selling to buyers at local accounts outside of the technology segment.
Experience in expanding business opportunities within existing accounts and cultivating new business opportunities.
Proposal development experience including the ability to effectively sell business solutions to clients.
Relationship Management - forms and maximizes relationships with business partners (internal and external) through effective and timely communication, responsiveness, knowledge share, and a solution-oriented approach. Sales Expertise - demonstrates sales expertise through decision-making and solutioning.
Have 7 - 10 years of experience in Public Sector transportation
Understand the Transit and Department of Transportation areas
Has 1-3 years of engineering experience
