Description We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Lead Software Engineer to work out of Kirtland AFB, NM. Essential Duties: Leads the design, development, documentation, testing and debugging of application software. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensures software standards are met. Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Apply and/or develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in systems engineering related to DoD & major space systems/programs with at least 5 years in a leadership role Experience with SW such as Java, Python, C++, or other Object Oriented based languages, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure Cloud, Etc. Education/ Certification: Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution.
