Transport EMT

The UVM HealthNet Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary transport team, planning, providing, and evaluating direct care to patients in all states of health and wellness in the pre-hospital, intra-facility and inter-facility settings.The EMT assists with the necessary treatment and care of patients, whether ill or injured, during the transport, by ground or air ambulance, and in the pre-hospital setting or from one healthcare facility to another.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED) required.
• Nationally Registered EMT, AEMT or Paramedic.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 1-year relevant EMS experience with direct patient care required.
