Overview
Now hiring an Intermediate Telecom Engineer! Presbyterian Healthcare is seeking an Intermediate Telecom Engineer. Under general supervision, this person will be responsible for moderately complex engineering and/or analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function (such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support). Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and two to five years of technical telecom experience. How you belong matters here. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related technical/business area plus 2 years' of IT or business experience. 6 years' of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Requires detailed knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non-repetitive, analytical work.
- Uses a wide application of principles, theories, concepts and draws on previous experience to determine an appropriate course of action.
Responsibilities
- Participates in moderate complexity planning and scheduling to establish deadlines and ensure the timely completion of several independent tasks and short term projects. May organize, assign and schedule group tasks.
- Provides detailed technical expertise and assistance and guidance for problem resolution, system transitions, migrations, project support engineering, and consolidations.
- Configures voice mail system to conform with system design requirements. Responds to more complex incidents.
- Configures more complex telephone system technology to conform with system design requirements. Responds to more complex incidents. Is responsible for monitoring traffic reporting system and capacity planning, assuring that appropriate levels of carrier and other services meet the demands at each facility.
