Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and grow with talented designers shaping the future of our built environments. Working on a wide variety of project types including workspace, retail, commercial office buildings and repositioning. You will work on all phases of design, crafting concepts and coordinating our designs from construction documentation to construction administration. You are passionate about design, are interested in the details and have an appreciation for the nuances of furniture and finishes.

Our Oakland office has a thriving retail architecture practice providing innovative solutions. What You Will Do

  • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture or foreign equivalent
  • 10+ yearsof related project experience
  • Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Revit, Octane, 3dViz, 3dsMAX, and/or Rhino utilizing V-Ray
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
  • State licensure and LEED accreditation a plus
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, a plus

**The base salary will be estimated between $96,000K- $117,000K plus bonuses and benefits and is contingent on relevant experience.
