MetroStar Systems is seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Developer with a passion for leading application development on mission-critical contracts. This hybrid position, based in Washington, DC, requires regular customer meetings to ensure that solutions meet real-world needs and expectations. In this highly visible role, you'll work directly with the CIO to modernize ITSM and IT asset management, among other processes, and drive efficiencies for BIS by leveraging the ServiceNow platform. What you'll do:



  • Implement, configure, and provide day-to-day support of ServiceNow, ensuring seamless IT asset management and ITSM operations.
  • Train colleagues on effective ServiceNow use, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Integrate program Service Level Agreement reporting into ServiceNow dashboards to enhance visibility and accountability.
  • Develop detailed requirements definitions and technical specifications, ensuring smooth data manipulation and maintenance between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Work with IT managers to generate insightful views and reports, driving actionable business insights.
  • Analyze user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities, automate workflows, and overcome scheduling limitations.
  • Support both on-premises and cloud-hosted enterprise applications while evolving the overall technology and architectural vision.
  • Develop and maintain robust technical documentation, participate in solution planning, and contribute to the high-level design and deployment strategy.
  • Leverage your experience in Agile/SAFe environments to build and execute a forward-thinking roadmap that aligns with strategic IT and business goals.


What you'll need to succeed:



  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 4 Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITSM and Service Portal development-including configuring out-of-the-box ITSM solutions, developing Service Catalog modules, and supporting business analysts with platform optimizations.
  • Proficiency across all phases of the Application Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting the ServiceNow ITSM and IT asset management modules, with a strong grasp of workflows.
  • A background in creating request forms, integrating with internal and external systems, and enhancing user interfaces for a customized, engaging user experience.
  • Experience as a technical resource on development and O&M engagements at customer sites, with an ability to coordinate with implementation partners, IT managers, internal stakeholders, and developers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with key customers and service desk teams.
