Responsibilities The OHHRF Development Coordinator position will serve as a coordinator for the Director of Philanthropy and involves creative and multi-tasking responsibilities. The Development Coordinator will perform a variety of administrative duties as well as assist with organizing and managing events and donor and volunteer relations. Key Responsibilities Work in collaboration with all OHHRF staff to represent a quality and highly professional organization committed to the excellence of cardiovascular research, education and patient needs. Receive and process donations while working in collaboration with other staff to maintain accurate records. Assist with writing, editing and facilitating distribution of publications, appeals and applications to support giving programs and services Manage DonorPerfect database including routine acknowledgement letters and receipts, monthly additions, changes, and donor reports. Assist with planning special events, including recruiting and managing volunteers Qualifications Education: Four-year college degree preferred, but not required. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in fundraising and/ or special event coordination. Working Knowledge: Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Experience in excel and word. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: CRT, typewriter and 10 keys required. 40 WPM minimum computer and 10 key required. Essential Cognitive Abilities: Requires strong communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate independent judgment and sound reasoning ability. Ability to maintain concentration and organization while dealing with multiple issues and frequent interruptions. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to fluently communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians and all levels of staffing an effective manner. Must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
